5 Things To Try This Weekend in Las Vegas

This week I was sitting at Social Bar at the Palms, their new casino bar that is the center of attention. I’m sipping on an extraordinary drink, 46 & Barrel. I’m typing away on my Blackberry. I’m tasting. I’m watching. I’m chatting. In other words, I was working. I fell in love with a cocktail and then I started telling everyone around me about it. I’ll spare you the details aside from letting you know that an oak barrel is used to help some Maker’s Mark 46 attain a little more flavor by infusing some cherry and fig into the mix. You should be having it.

While I’m having my drink(s) I get to chatting with a couple and they soon start picking my brain about stuff to do for their weekend in Las Vegas. So naturally I gave them a checklist of things to try.

Hakkasan at MGM Grand – The super mega nightclub is opening and you can be there as the new era in Las Vegas nightlife begins.

A race around the Track at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway – They let yu get into a real race car and they encourage you to put the pedal to the metal. Go ahead and try your skills on the speeday. You also get to wear a cool race suit and act like a big shot race car driver for the day.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay – No matter how many times I walk though the aquarium I still turn into a kid as I watch the fish dart in and out of holes in the reef. I‘ll stand in front of the shark tank for way too long as I try to make eye contact with these incredible creatures. Go ahead and touch a bat ray while you are there.
