7 Reasons Why You’ll Fall In Love With Las Vegas

1. It’s Always Happy Hour. No matter what time of the day you can walk down to the casino and you’ll find someone who is having a drink and ready to have some fun. The best part of that is the special time at the end of the night when you know you should go to bed but you have the late night meal with one more cocktail. That is the true happy hour and those moments are endless in Las Vegas where “last call” does not exist.

2. The View from the Cosmopolitan. I often stand on the balcony of my room at Cosmopolitan and just stare off in to the distance. I’m mesmerized by the view both night and day. Grab a bottle of something sparkling downstairs and just take in all of Las Vegas from your room.

3. Fish and Chips at Gordon Ramsay Steak. The steaks are great and the cocktails are lively but the gem is the crunchy on the outside but flaky on the inside fish and chips that Gordon Ramsay has perfected at Paris Las Vegas. Don’t worry about ordering fish at a steak joint, they get it.

4. Absinthe at Sage at ARIA. Get the absinthe treatment at Sage even if you are not eating there. (Although, you should as the dining experience is supreme) Spend a little time with your drink and inhale the aroma. I always feel “velvety” after absinthe and I have no clue why I call it that. It’s quite an experience but make sure you do it with another person. I don’t want you getting weird without proper supervision.

5. Penny Pibbets – Absinthe at Caesars Palace is an extraordinary show and Penny Pibbets has a way of making you want to come back over and over. She’s cute, snarky, funny and has a way with words. I can’t give away too much but let’s just say that you would not take her home to dad.

6. Oysters for $1 – I can eat oysters all day long so finding a spot that has quality oysters for an unbeatable happy hour price is divine. PJ Clarke’s at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace does it right for $1 during happy hour.

7. Cocktails and Lazy Rivers – There is such an abundance of great cocktails in Las Vegas that I often get confused with where my actual favorite places to have a drink are. A few of my very best choices are Fusion at Palazzo where the mixologist are among the best in Las Vegas. The Hit lounge at Monte Carlo does classic cocktails as good as any on the strip and Comme Ca at Cosmopolitan has a cocktail program that explains why prohibition was lifted. Do lazy rivers go hand in hand with cocktails? No. I just feel like they both do the same thing. They help you relax. Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo and MGM all have pools that will take you to the floating paradise of a relaxing summer afternoon.

Go ahead and fall in love with Las Vegas. She is quite promiscuous.
