Ben’s Southern Kitchen Neighbors Up To Atomic Liquors

One of the Food Network’s shining stars, Ben Vaughn, is joining the Las Vegas family of culinary geniuses with a new restaurant addition to the Downtown scene.  More specifically, the new restaurant, Ben’s Southern Kitchen, will be occupying the space directly next to Atomic Liquors.

For those that haven’t heard of Atomic Liquors, it’s a staple dive bar that has been in Vegas for decades. In fact, it got its name as patrons used to sit on the rooftop drinking alcoholic concoctions while watching the atomic blasts at the Atomic Test Site.

Atomic Liquors is one of another Food Network star’s favorite places to frequent in Vegas: Anthony Bourdain. So we’ve got Bourdain drinking brews while Vaughn creates Southern masterpieces at his ‘meat and three’ eatery – one meat and three sides. It’s becoming quite the celebrity chef ally down there. The restaurant is slated to open in Spring or Summer this year and will likely be welcomed with open arms from locals and visitors alike.
