Everybody who is anybody in the car world knows that the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas is one of the automotive industry’s premier and biggest events. While SEMA is amazing and all, it’s considered a ‘trade-only’ show and not open to the general public. Trying to remedy that (not necessarily compete) is a new American car show headed to town and it’s hoping to be the biggest ‘gathering of muscle cars’ in Las Vegas.

“A pure muscle car show has never been done in Vegas,” said Marc Green the creator of the event as well as president and founder of Strictly Muscle Car Club out of Sacramento. “I hope to have 10,000 people. I’m expecting a really big local turnout.” The event, known as Hot Vegas Nites Car Show, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Orleans Arena (East parking lot). Open to those wanting to display an American muscle car of any year, this event is debuting for the first time.

“If you love cars, you should come,” Green said and jokingly added, “you’ll be able to ask questions, car guys love to talk about their cars – they love the attention." A number of vendors as well as food and beverage booths will also be on site. People will be able to play music out of their cars and add to the scene to provide car lovers a backdrop to see the best of the best when it comes to American-made muscle cars. In addition to the Strictly Muscle Car Club (Sacramento), NAPA Auto Parts is also sponsoring the event.

“NAPA will be there with a huge trailer,” Green said. “They are going to bring out some race cars and a few local nonprofits are coming out to bring awareness to their causes.” Tickets can be purchased for only $5. If you want to bring a car, registration is $60 and you can register here. “Vegas is a fun town already, so when you add muscle cars and people love them into a family-type of environment then it’s a show for everyone,” Green explained.
