Burger Paradise In Las Vegas
The simplicity of the burger is what makes it so beloved. It really is only a piece of ground meat between two pieces of bread, right? Well, not so fast. Beef is not just beef and who really orders a plain burger? There is no better cheap meal in Las Vegas than the burger and a beer. The options are plentiful from the Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay to BLT Burger at the Mirage. The Las Vegas Strip has no shortage of burger joints willing to impress you with a little comfort between two buns.
Check out these 3 burgers than can be found on the Las Vegas Strip.
March Burger of the Month at KGB at Harrah’s Las Vegas: The BBQ Grilled Cheese Patty Melt Burger is a thing of beauty. There is no need to talk about the freshly ground Angus beef patty when you have apple-wood smoked bacon set between two pieces of Texas toast and melted together with Gouda and cheddar cheese and then topped with caramelized onions and mushrooms. Salty and savory with the sweet added in when you opt for a one of their milk shakes to wash down this slice of perfection.
Hog Burger at Gordon Ramsay BurGR inside Planet Hollywood Resort: Topping the soft brioche bun that is about as good as any burger bun you’ll find on the strip is a ground patty of Mangalitsa pork, that creates the Hog Burger, a pork lovers dream. The burger is grilled over oak, apple and alder woods and then basted with butter before a slice of English Cheddar is allowed to melt over the top of it. A few leafs of arugula finish off this very unique foodie find. The Mangalitsa pork is special in that these pigs are bred with such special treatment that great care is taken to produce a complex and superior pork flavor. This is the burger that foodies seek out.
The 8 pound Burger Challenge at The Pub at Monte Carlo Resort: Before I tell you to try this burger I should warn you that nobody should try this burger. Nobody. It is just too big. Nobody in their right mind should attempt to have this mammoth patty between two bread wheels. Now that I have warned you let me explain why you should tempt someone else to take the challenge (I took the challenge and I failed after about half the burger).
It is your duty as a good friend to try to get one of your friends to attempt this challenge, 8 pounds of burger in 45 minutes along with 22 ounces of their favorite beer. Why? It’s Vegas and you and your friends have to have some fun before you hit the nightclubs.
