Chowhound: The Buffet at Bellagio Las Vegas
Las Vegas is famous for many things and buffets are high on that list. I have issues with control and don't frequent many buffets anymore. However, the one buffet I will always make a point to recommend to friends to visit so that I can visit is The Buffet at Bellagio. Prices range from $15.95 per person to $29.95 on a regular day. Executive Chef Gerald Harrington oversees a fantastic kitchen that provides foods that don't make you feel as if you’re at a cheap friend’s wedding. Each dish stands out on its own and this isn't like a buffet in the 80s where someone would load up their plates with mass produced foods and hope for the best. Every item from buffet classics and sushi to ethnic foods and desserts tastes as if they were freshly prepared moments ago and just for you.
I'm told often that I need to try this buffet or that buffet, but I don't care and I cut them off. There is nothing that can sway this non-buffet eater elsewhere. The truth is that there is no better buffet option for the price. Perhaps the best deal of everything at Buffet Bellagio is the Weekend Bunch. For the price of a normal meal on The Strip you can pick and choose anything you’d like to eat and for $5 more add champagne to your meal. If you're feeling a little off and need a lift, the champagne brunch is a perfect fit. This is perfect for the kind of person that is moody when they're hungover. My hangover cravings include a slice of bacon, eggs, a meatball, dessert sweets, chicken fingers and a waffle. The champagne goes perfectly with coffee and food to kill any demons left inside of me.
Buffet Bellagio is located next to the Cirque du Soleil "O" Theater. The lines are always long, but a little birdie is telling you that if you don't want to wait, you may be able to skip the line with an Mlife players club card. If that doesn't work and you're okay with bar seating there's almost never a line for that.
