For a taste of vintage Vegas, check out Café Cortez at the El Cortez, the hotel’s 24-hour diner and coffee shop. Here you can get a prime rib dinner that’s only $7.95, including a choice of soup or salad. The café also offers a fajita dinner for just $8.95, and a full Chinese menu is served made-to-order from 4 to 10 p.m. Café Cortez serves a limited graveyard menu Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Specials include two eggs with choice of bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast for $4.75 plus tax; ham and two eggs, breakfast potatoes and toast for $7.25 plus tax; and more.

Closing time rarely has meaning in a town that operates 24/7. The same goes for Mr. Lucky’s 24/7 at the Hard Rock Hotel. You can find standard diner fare, such as burgers, sandwiches, pizza and breakfast items. And its not-so secret specials, such as the Gambler’s Special (an 8-ounce New York sirloin steak, three jumbo shrimp, salad, garlic mashed potatoes and a roll, all for a lucky $7.77), and the "bone yard specials" starting at $3.95 (served Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5 a.m.) are well worth ordering. Best of all, you can indulge in the a Vegas tradition with Mr. Lucky’s all-you-can-eat prime rib for only $9.99 any day of the week from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m.
