Comedian Jeff Dunham Gets Ready For Planet Hollywood Residency
Beginning November 28, comedian Jeff Dunham is taking up a residency inside of Planet Hollywood’s Showroom. Visitors to Las Vegas will now have be able to see his sort of one-man show, titled “Jeff Dunham: Not Playing With a Full Deck.”
Dunham, who is a ventriloquist and stand-up comedian, has created an array of dummies that become life-size characters onstage with him. Some of his “famed troupe of sidekicks” include Jose Jalapeno, the redneck Bubba J, Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist and a manic purple critter named Peanut who has a ventriloquist dummy known as Little Jeff.
“After being on the road for 28 years, it will be a welcomed pleasure to anchor my show in a permanent location in Las Vegas beginning in November,” said Dunham in a released statement. “I’m very much looking forward to welcoming our fans from all around the world in our new Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.”
In addition to gaining a residency in Las Vegas, Dunham was named by Guinness World Records as the “world record holder for ‘Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour’” in which he played 386 venues worldwide and sold 1,981,720 tickets.
Catch one of Dunham’s six shows Wednesday through Sunday beginning November 28. Tickets are currently on sale.
