Dick’s Last Resort

The Experience
Quite honestly this is the type of restaurant you really only visit when you are on vacation. The formula is quite simple. Serve food in decent sized portions. Serve some stiff drinks. Offer a simple beer list. Insult everyone and make sure that every single person knows that they have walked into a party that was put together by a group of pranksters.

Who You Are Taking To The Restaurant

What part of the description do you want to hear? Do you want me to tell you that your cool factor will go up once you check in or do you want to hear about how you’ll get a sense of relaxation in the room that will almost make you forget you are in Las Vegas or do you need to hear about how your foodie fantasies will come true at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas? This hotel has so much happening all at once that you almost want to start planning your next visit the minute you arrive.

Summer vacation and the kids in Las Vegas. Some people say yes, there are plenty of things to do in Las Vegas for kids and then another segment of the population that would have you believe that all that is bad roams the Las Vegas strip and kids should avoid it. I have two young kids and they have spent plenty of time on the strip and I’m here to tell you that Las Vegas is a great option for a family vacation.
Las Vegas is inexpensive. Food options are plentiful and there are so many things to do with your kids in Las Vegas that they’ll be asking you to stay a little longer.

The Experience

Even if the 1980s are not a time you wish to relive. Even if hair metal is a music which has no place in your collection. Even if you somehow wandered into the theatre in a drunken haze. You will not be able to deny the pleasures of Rock of Ages, a musical that doesn’t take itself, its subject, or you the audience seriously.

As the taped introduction by Whitesnake’s “legendary” front man David Coverdale puts it, “enjoy having your face melted.”

You might not head to Las Vegas and consider visiting an art museum. Nightclub? Yes. Pool? Certainly. Strip Club? Probably, but you wont tell anyone. Museum. No.

Wynn Las Vegas

Many of the most successful people in the world will tell you: A problem is just an opportunity in disguise. And apparently, Las Vegas had a problem. The problem, I’m told, was that women didn’t feel comfortable in our Sports Books.

Well, The One Group, operators of STK at the Cosmopolitan (pretty much the most ‘happening’ restaurant on the Strip) saw that as an opportunity. And so we have Heraea at Palms.

If you are staying at the Wynn or Encore adjoining resorts, or you just happen to be nearby with an unlimited credit account, you’ll have a hard time resisting the pull of the shops at Wynn and Encore.

Steve Wynn, who assembled the impressive shopping arcade at Bellagio (the first seriously high-end retail collection on the Las Vegas Strip) sought to top his own creation with first the Shops at Wynn and then later the second row of stores at Encore. Few retail experiences could easily improve upon both the selection and the lavishness of the surroundings.

I tend to forget to do a few things around the house on a regular basis. I rarely pick up my socks. The toilet seat might get left up way too often. I forget to take the trash out and the leaky faucet in the restroom is going on 3 months without being addressed.

In order to play nice with my wife I've decided that she should have a little getaway with the girls. I've decided that she can have a little time doing Vegas as I do and I'll attempt to take care of those things I keep forgetting to do.
