Everybody Loves New York Especially in Vegas

As part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and to kickoff the Celtic Feis festival on Saturday, March 15, New York-New York Hotel and Casino unveiled their renovated Strip-front façade. The celebration featured music with Limey Bar Stewards and Sine Ri-Ra among others as well as an "eco-friendly green balloon release" over the new plaza.

The freshly transformed plaza, anchored on the hotel’s Brooklyn Bridge, features an extended patio for the famous Nine Fine Irishman pub and restaurant in addition to a New York decorated Starbucks that will be open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The new plaza also showcases three new retail stores including Swiss watchmaker’s Swatch, I Love NYNY, and Stupidiotic, which features “a wide variety of ingenious and un-genius products and ideas.”

According to officials from the hotel and casino, the new plaza area will provide an engaging environment for pedestrians. The area will be home to many of the hotel’s annual celebrations as well.

“Our goal was to create a vibrant patio culture and bring the New York-New York experience outside to share with the tens of millions of pedestrians and guests who walk on the Brooklyn Bridge each year,” said Cynthia Kiser Murphey, president and COO of New York-New York.
