Goose Island and Beer at Lagasse’s Stadium
Beer lovers who happen to be in Las Vegas on Friday November 14 will be able to indulge in a beer pairing menu at Lagasse’s Stadium at Palazzo Resort that is heavy on the Goose Island beers.
Personally, I get a bit too excited about Goose Island Matilda and even though It is found widely these days it always feels like a special treat. Couple the good beers with the atmosphere at Lagasse’s Stadium and you can bet on a good night.
The beer pairing menu is as follows:
Organic Arugula, Pickled Red Onions and Toasted Pecans Tossed in Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette with Warm Brie Cheese
Goose Island IPA
Bacon Crusted Swordfish on Apple, Caramelized Onion and Beer Braised Cabbage
312 Urban Wheat Ale
Grilled Salmon on Sweet Corn, Mushrooms and Beluga Lentils with Charred Tomato Sauce
Goose Island Sofie
Herb Roasted Turkey Breast on Focaccia Bread Stuffing with Homemade Cranberry Sauce and Bourbon Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Goose Island Honkers
Apple Crisp with Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream
Goose Island Matilda
Now, it’s one thing to have good beer and good food but you get to watch a few games while you enjoy your meal. The beer pairing event featuring a selection of Chicago-based Goose Island Brewing Co. beers is on Friday, November 14 at 6 p.m. The menu is priced at $55 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity),
If you have not had your beer paired with a multi course meal you are in for a treat. Aureole at Mandalay Bay has some fantastic pairings as does Public House Las Vegas inside Venetian Resort.
Beer lovers looking for a decent list of suds can find extensive lists at Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay, Yard House at The LINQ, Monte Carlo PUB and off-strip at the Freaking Frog. If you are just into the sports and the beer The Pub at Monte Carlo has an ample amount of televisions to catch your favorite teams and Public House at Luxor is a comfortable place to watch sports.
Are you saying you just want to drink? Oh, in that case grab a boat drink at Margaritaville at Flamingo Las Vegas, a classy cocktail at the bar at Delmonico Steakhouse, a classic at Petrossian Bar at Bellagio or something sweet and fancy at Sugar Factory.
Las Vegas is not short on places to have a drink and if all else fails walk up to any casino bar at anytime of the day and you can be sure to get something to lubricate your stress away from your shoulders and set you in the Vegas frame of mind.
