Holiday Season in Las Vegas

The temperature drops and soon the sweaters come out of the closets and before you know it the holiday music fills the air while your Christmas list assures you that you'll be broke until Valentines day.

Don't you just love the holidays?

In Las Vegas the holidays come up just as fast however there are far more ways to celebrate that don't center on buying gifts, wearing ugly sweaters and drinking egg nog. Head to Las Vegas for the holidays and you’ll get very festive while dancing and celebrating and embracing the season in a very Vegas way.

Ice Rink at Cosmopolitan - You'll lace up the skates and act like you grew up in Quebec shooting pucks with the rest of your poutine loving friends. Go right ahead and try picking up speed as you ice skate with a view of Las Vegas. The boulevard pool is transformed into an outdoor winter play land where fire pits and warm drinks create an atmosphere that is perfect for cuddling.

November 22 – January 5:
Monday - Friday: 3:00 pm – 12:00 am
Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 pm – 12:00 am

Winter in Venice - If you head over to the Venetian you'll find another ice rink right on the Las Vegas strip and it’s synthetic ice so your hands won't freeze when you fall. I know this because I have fallen right there in front of every one and their mother. The entire property is decked out in holiday garb and the festivities include people singing and a giant Holiday tree, also known as a Christmas tree. Go inside the property and hit the bars where drink menus include specialty drinks just for the season and foodie events are happening throughout the Winter in Venice season.

Ethel M Chocolate Factory Holiday Cactus Garden - If you have never seen a cactus garden full of decorative lights let me be the person to tell you that you have not lived a complete life. Well...I might be stretching the truth a bit but the sight of all those lights on all the cacti and trees and the smell of chocolate coming from the Ethel M Chocolate Factory really makes it feel like Christmas. You can take a tour of the chocolate factory or pop on some 3-D glasses and tour the gardens for free.
