Hotel Addict: Treasure Island Las Vegas
Treasure Island, easily one of the best bets on the Las Vegas Strip has everything one could want when visiting Las Vegas and then some. With 2,664 rooms and 200 suites, Treasure Island is tucked on the north end of The Strip and in a fantastic location right off the I-15 and neighbors Fashion Show Mall, Wynn, Venetian, Palazzo and the Mirage; but let’s get back to what really makes the property great.
Recently renovated, the rooms at Treasure Island are spacious as well as chic and very comfortable. When it’s time to rest your head, how does a pillow-top bed sound? Amazing, right! Add in lounge and sofa seating, flat screen televisions along with a handful of additional amenities and you’re set for a feeling of serenity and relaxation the minute you step foot in your room. Also when making your reservation, think about asking for a room overlooking Sirens Cove so you can watch the show below from your floor to ceiling windows.
Speaking of Sirens Cove, one of the staples and most recognizable features at the hotel is the famous Sirens of TI show taking place nightly in the front of the property at 5:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. during the fall and winter. Make your way out to the dock on the Las Vegas Strip for an up close spot to watch the stunning Sirens of TI beauties take on the renegade pirates in a song, dance and pyrotechnic production.
Treasure Island is also home to the first Cirque du Soleil show, Mystere, which is a must see for any travelers coming to Las Vegas. December will mark 18 years running for the amazing production which features a multi-award winning cast of acrobats, dancers, singers and musicians that will have you leaving amazed and craving more.
When you’ve worked up an appetite, a bevy of top spots make your selection that much harder. Looking for a quick nosh? Grab a turkey or corned beef sandwich at Canter’s Deli, a slice at Pizzeria Francesco’s or tucked inside the coffee shop is Pho for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine without having to leave for Chinatown. If a full dining experience is more of what you are looking for, Phil’s Italian Steakhouse is one of the best in town and the perfect spot for a prime cut of beef and great bottle of wine. There is also Isla, the award winning Mexican restaurant that in addition to its authentic cuisine boast one of the biggest and best tequila lists.
Also one place you’ll want to make your dinner and night spot is Gilley’s Saloon. Reincarnated from its original location at the now defunct New Frontier, saddle up at the country western spot for some ice cold brews, burgers, ribs and more. When your belly is full it’s time for country line dancing and perhaps by then you’ve worked up some liquid courage to ride the bull! Hands down one of the top ways to spend an evening in Vegas, Gilley’s is a legendary spot in town for a reason.
Now if you’re sore from riding the bull, you are definitely in luck as the posh Oleksandra Spa & Salon is the ideal spot to recover and rejuvenate your body. Chose from a bevy of treatments and enjoy the world-class facilities including the sauna, steam and fitness rooms.
