How To See The Las Vegas Strip
Show anybody a picture of the Las Vegas strip and they’ll be able to tell you what it is. Plenty will say that they can’t wait to go there, have been there or are an expert. Yes, plenty of people will tell you they are experts. Believe me, I tell everybody I’m an expert and most people don’t believe me. However, they will ask about what they best things to see on the Las Vegas strip and I always explain that the best way to see the Las Vegas strip is by putting your walking shoes on and giving yourself a self guided tour.
Do you think I’m crazy?
As a young couple, my wife and I, long before we had children, spent a lot of time on the Las Vegas strip. We were on a first name basis with so many blackjack and craps dealers that it became embarrassing. However, after quite a few big loss events at the tables we decided that we would only gamble at night. Therefore, we found a way to preoccupy ourselves. We would walk. And walk. And walk.
By the time people started paying me to tell them about Las Vegas I was already an expert and it was just as if I started getting paid to do what I had already been doing.
Make sure to see a few things that most people forget about. These are some of the highlights of things that people might forget to see:
- Bellagio Conservatory and Gardens
- The Worlds Largest Chocolate Fountain at Bellagio
- The Garage Art at Cosmopolitan
- The Art Collection at CityCenter
- The Wildlife at Flamingo Las Vegas
- The art on the ceilings at Venetian
- The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
Of course you’ll see the Eiffel Tower, a pyramid, The Statue of Liberty, a volcano and a pirate battle but you already knew about those things, right?
Walking the Las Vegas strip doesn’t work for you. Don’t worry there are other ways to see the strip. These involve far less sweat and a lot more sitting back and enjoying the sights. These two Las Vegas tours should help you see a lot more of Las Vegas than most people do.
Las Vegas City Tour
Take this tour and you’ll see the Las Vegas strip as well as Downtown Las Vegas and the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop from the Television show, “Pawn Stars.” While you drive down the strip you’ll hear all about Las Vegas and the history and opportunities to have fun on this famed street.
The Strip by Helicopter
Hop in to a helicopter and you get to see the Las Vegas strip from far above. You’ll start at the heliport that is right on Las Vegas Blvd. and after a quick briefing you’ll jump in to a plush helicopter with huge windows that give you a breathtaking view of the lights of Las Vegas.
