It's New Years Day, What Are You Waiting For?
New year. Day one. Get started.
If your head is a bit foggy this morning that's probably because you had a good night. It's a new year so don't waste any time and start having some fun.
You need a plan to get you through day one of new resolutions and some lame statements you might have made last night that centered around working harder, being more serious and taking control of your life. Don't fret, we all do that when faced with counting down the end of a year while looking at a pair of lips that are begging for the New Year's kiss.
All you have to do is live up to the challenge by spending a day in Las Vegas and celebrating 2013.
This is what you are doing today.
You'll watch a few football games because you'll need to be able to join the football conversation the minute you get back into the office. Head to Public House at Luxor or the Pub at Monte Carlo. You'll catch some games, have a few beers and get a good idea of how well Notre Dame might do next week. Trust me, your boss either loves the fighting Irish or despises them. This will be valuable information later on in the week.
You will need to eat so let me help you craft your new message. You're a foodie who went to Las Vegas for New Year's Weekend to sample food not to get a tattoo and dance with pretty people who may or may not have just graduated from college. You'll discuss the foie gras at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, the rib cap at Gordon Ramsay and the pho at the bar at Sensi at Bellagio. Listen, if you want to move ahead in that corporate culture you'll need to hide the fact that you would much rather have the pizza at Grimaldi's or that you had the Mac 'n Cheese at Lobster ME inside the Miracle Mile shops in Planet Hollywood and considered that the highlight of your holiday meals. Yes, those places are fabulous but lets face it you'll need good conversation starters for the suits once you are back to the grind. Talk about the beef program at Old Homestead at Caesars Palace before you mention the ceviche at Carlos 'n Charlies at Flamingo. Although you'll need to make sure to have a huge margarita and the ceviche at some point.
How are you feeling? It's a new year so start thinking about just how many times you'll be on the Las Vegas strip. We here at Galavantier want to make sure you know exactly how to have a good time so feel free to call on us with questions about nightlife, tours and things to do in Las Vegas. While you were out having a good time in Las Vegas we were experiencing everything right along with you so as to make sure we have the right answers.
That's right, we feel the pain today as well.
Happy New Year!
