Need Something To Do in Las Vegas?
It can be hard making decisions when you are about to go on vacation. With so many activities and ways to spend your time in Las Vegas it’s safe to say it is down right confusing. Have no fear. I know Las Vegas. I know what is fun and what is worth your valuable vacation time and dollars. Trust me when I tell you that the last decade I have spent, swimming, sleeping, driving, flying, jumping, eating and drinking all in order for you to have a better time on your Las Vegas vacation. All the spa treatments, well, those have been for me. I cannot be that generous.
For the next few weeks I’ll be giving you some ideas on how to spend your time in Las Vegas.
Check out this week’s suggestions:
Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth http://blog.galavantier.com/2013/07/03/calling-all-chocolate-lovers/
Need chocolate? I always need a little something sweet and there are plenty of options for you right on the Las Vegas strip. Indulge at Jean Philippe at Bellagio and check out the giant chocolate factory or go overboard at Sugar Factory at Paris Las Vegas.
Introduce yourself to the Clockwork Orange at American Fish http://blog.galavantier.com/2013/06/13/5-vegas-cocktails-that-you-need-r...
American Fish at ARIA has a pretty good Happy Hour so I would suggest the middle of the afternoon for your visit and while you are there you should try the Clockwork Orange. It’s a bit of a grown up cocktail but much like the film you have to make your way through to get the complete experience. It’s citrusy and spicy, yet a little mysterious.
Scare Yourself Silly at Goretorium: That’s right, choose to walk into a hotel that is not just spooky but also creepy and shocking and disgusting. It is on the verge of too much. I know it is not real but when you spend enough time with the gore you can’t help to wonder if you’ll make it out alive. Goretorium is open daily across the street from the Cosmopolitan Hotel and adjacent to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.
See Where The Lights End Up When They Go Out: The Neon Boneyard also known as the Neon Museum is a fascinating place to see a lot of Las Vegas history in a small space. The walking tour consists of a stroll through a lot with the remnants of neon signs from all the famous places that have long been forgotten by the passage of time and the modernization of Las Vegas. It’s open daily for tours by reservation.
Load up on the BBQ at Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars: It’s not real Texas BBQ but it is pretty close. The buffet at Caesars Palace got an overhaul and it is very good spot for a meal. Expensive for a buffet but there are a few quality stations. I would make sure to have as much brisket as you can because it is better than average. Oh, since you are already there you might as well have some dessert.
