Nightlife Junkie: Electric Daisy Carnival
10 days from now the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be transformed.

Electric Daisy Carnival
If you're unfamiliar with the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), here are the basics. Picture if you will, a three day festival including carnival rides, costumes, art shows, visuals and most importantly, sound. Over 200 individual DJs will take to the six stages over the three day weekend. With attendances over 100,000 last year, the Electric Daisy Carnival has become the largest dance music festival outside of Europe.
Now that you've had your appetizer, here are your "meat and potatoes.

How to get there:
This seems simple enough right? Hop in your car and drive on up to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, or better yet, pile a few friends into a limo and you're on your way. Well, if you chose either one of those answers you are wrong. The reason I say this is at the end of the day there's really only one way in and one way out. With over 100,000 people estimated to be in attendance, traffic is going to be worse than New Years Eve.
With that being said, here are your alternatives. For a mere $60, you can take the EDC shuttle with all day service to and from the venue. The best part is that the shuttle uses specially marked off "shuttle only" traffic lanes, thus eliminating any time wasted sitting in traffic. If you really want to go big, the way all VIPs are arriving is via helicopter. For $3,000 one way, Maverick Helicopter will fly five people (up to 1000 pounds) directly to the Speedway and where you'll be dropped off smack dab in the middle of the action.
Tickets:
Friday and Saturday GA (18+) tickets are sold out. There are however still three day GA tickets available here and VIP (21+) tickets are still available for sale as both individual days as well as three day tickets. If you don't have your tickets already, get them now as prices will go up as it gets closer to the date.
Survival (Just seemed fitting):
So here it is guys and gals, Las Vegas is a desert. Even at night, the temperatures remain in the triple digits. Especially with the whole event being held on a 1.5 mile asphalt racetrack, it’s going to be a tad warm to say the least. This isn't like Southern California where it drops down to 70's/80's at night. Keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water.
Daylife/Nightlife:
If the whole thought of a desert festival doesn't appeal to you, you're not alone. Many of the clubs and pools have booked some MAJOR talent to play at their venues throughout that weekend as well to give everyone a chance to get in on the Elect r ic Daisy Carnival without actually having to get in to EDC. Your best resources are to check back with our Tour Manager closer to the date or visit the Vegas SEVEN and the Las Vegas Weekly websites for the rundown.
In case you can't make it to Vegas for the Electric Daisy Carnival this year, the three day festival invades Dallas, TX on June 18 and Puerto Rico on August 27. Head on over to electricdaisycarnival.com for more info.
