Nightlife Junkie: Your Labor Day Weekend Guide
It is here, Labor Day Weekend aka one of the busiest weekends of the year and also the biggest nightclub and pool party weekend in Las Vegas! As the Nightlife Junkie, I am chomping at the bit in excitement for all the great DJs, soirees, musical performances and celebrity appearances set to take place this weekend. Luckily one of my favorite sources for the pulse of what’s going on in town, Las Vegas Weekly has the essential guide to partying the weekend away! Thursday, September 1:
ATB at Tao: German DJ, musician and producer headlines at Worship Thursdays. Get an earful of his trance music to start your Labor Day Weekend.
Manufactured Superstars at Tryst: The Wynn nightclub will launch the weekend celebration early on Thursday at The Affair industry night with resident DJs Manufactured Superstars, best known for mashing up popular electro, progressive, house and pop music.
Friday, September 2:
Armin van Buuren at Marquee: Dutch trance producer and DJ Armin van Buuren and Ibiza favorite Blake Jarrell spin at Marquee Nightclub inside the Cosmopolitan.
Disc Glow at Lavo: Break out those white T-shirts and highlighters. It’s glow time at Lavo. The EC Twins pull double duty and will play an EDM set, while the crowd enjoys the black lights.
Skrillex and Lil Jon at Surrender: Emerging electro-house and dubstep star Skrillex and Lil Jon will be spinning hits like “Outta Your Mind” and “Shots” at the Encore nightclub.
In The House at Haze: In The House is a new evening showcasing some of the best house DJ artists in the world. Paul Van Dyk kicks off inaugural night.
Dainjazone at Club Nikki: The Tropicana hotspot welcomes California hip-hop and electro DJ Dainjazone.
DJ Pauly D at the Palms: Start your weekend with ladies man DJ Pauly D headlining at Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool & Bungalows. Later he heads over to Clash Fridays at Rain.
Saturday, September 3:
Perfecto's anniversary party: Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto celebrates its three-year anniversary with Oakenfold himself, Kenneth Thomas, Mark Lewis and Joyriders. The event also doubles as the CD release party for Never Mind the Bollocks.
Snooki at Pure: She’s back. The 4-foot-9 Jersey Shore star loves to frequent Vegas when she's not busy writing books or ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Catch her (and her poof) at the Caesars nightclub.
The Pharcyde at The Palms Pool: LA hip-hop group The Pharcyde has been performing together for more than 20 years. Look forward to their hit singles like "Passin' Me By", "Runnin'" and "Drop" as they perform poolside at The Palms.
The Situation at LAX: It’s a Shore thing – the gorilla juicehead hosts at LAX. Hopefully he won't have any close encounters with concrete walls.
Size Matters at XS: Steve Angello brings his infamous “Size Matters” party to XS. The event concept, developed in 2010, combines an over-the-top party atmosphere with special lighting, props and non-stop beats by Angello in addition to AN21 and Max Vangeli. During the day, catch them at Encore Beach Club.
A-Trak at Tryst: DJ A-Trak, who has worked with Kanye West, Kid Sister, Lupe Fiasco and Boyz Noize, spins at Tryst. As one half of the duo Duck Sauce, his collaboration with Armand Van Helden, look forward to their nightlife anthem “Barbra Streisand.”
Avicii at Marquee: Swedish DJ, remixer and record producer Avicii, known for his hot track "Bromance," spins at Marquee Nightclub along with Cosmic Gate.
Carmen Electra at Nikki Beach: Actress, model and television personality Carmen Electra will host at Nikki Beach. The brunette beauty has graced the cover of Playboy three times and appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, including Scary Movie and Baywatch.
Tiësto at The Joint: One of the most anticipated Las Vegas nightclub residencies is still going strong. Legendary Dutch musician, DJ and producer Tiesto spins during his monthly residency at The Joint in the Hard Rock after spending the day by the pool at Wet Republic.
LMFAO and DJ Vice at Tao: Throw back some "Shots" as you party rock with LMFAO while they perform at Tao along with DJ Vice.
Mix Master Mike at Blush: Mix Master Mike spins at Blush along with an opening set by DJ G-Squared. Ladies can enjoy complimentary champagne from 11 p.m. until midnight.
Sunday, September 4:
Fatboy Slim Marquee Dayclub: English DJ and producer Fatboy Slim brings his signature sound and tracks like "Praise You" and "Weapon of Choice" to Marquee Dayclub. Joining him are Chuckie and Tom Gandy.
Blush's four-year anniversary: Blush celebrates its four-year anniversary with Holly Madison, star of Holly’s World and Peepshow. Ladies can enjoy complimentary champagne and vodka drinks from 11 p.m. until midnight.
Will.i.am at XS: Sunday Night Swim presents a special DJ set by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. The multi-talented artist has collaborated with everyone from Wolfgang Gartner to David Guetta and will showcase his own talents in the booth along with sets by apl.de.ap and DJ Ammo.
Diddy at the Palms Pool: Entertainment mogul Diddy serves as host at Palms Pool & Bungalows for a Sunday pool party where the Ciroc will surely be flowing.
DJ Erick Morillo at Tao: Erick Morillo returns to Tao for another installment of his Labor Day Weekend party. Morillo is known for spinning top house music in venues in NYC and Ibiza.
Robbie Rivera at Tao Beach: Beatport Pool Sundays presents Puerto Rican house music producer and DJ Robbie Rivera.
Sebastian Ingrosso at Surrender: Swedish-raised DJ and producer Sebastian Ingrosso released his first official remix back in 1999. Now he is also one third of DJ super-group the Swedish House Mafia, along with friends Axwell and Steve Angello.
Kaskade and Pete Tong at EBC: DJ and producer Kaskade returns to Encore Beach Club along with fellow Encore resident DJ Peter Tong.
Monday, September 5:
Afrojack at XS: Resident DJ Afrojack, recently dubbed “The World’s Next Top DJ” by Mixmag, has escalated to international fame while calling the DJ booth at XS home to his Las Vegas residency.
IDentity Music Festival at Mandalay Bay: Held in Mandalay Bayside C & D, the music festival is the first-of-its-kind electronic-only music tour featuring Kaskade, Afrojack, Pretty Lights, Steve Aoki and The Crystal Method, among others.
Benny Benassi at Marquee: Enjoy complimentary admission all day as Benny Bennassi, Gareth Emery and Porter Robinson and the decks at Marquee Dayclub.
Above & Beyond at Wet Republic: British trance music group Above & Beyond will spin at Wet Republic Ultra Pool.
