Restaurants For The Entire Family In Las Vegas

If you travel to Las Vegas with the kids you’ll have to eat so why not find a few spots that don’t break the bank and force you to play the penny slots, right? Oh, you like the penny slots? That is a different topic that we can discuss at a later date.

Here are a few of my choices for places that work for family meals and they have been battle tested by my two children who eat way too much than my wallet would prefer.

• Slice of Vegas at Mandalay Bay – You can’t go wrong with pizza. It’s easy and it usually will cost you less than a hug meal where everybody orders their own thing. However, the salads and pastas are very well worth ordering and the portions are large enough to share.
• Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace – Huge portions and desserts that will have your kids running around trying to burn off the sugar. One dog that can feed 3 or a sandwich that a small family of 4 would be happy with. Order a sundae at the end of the meal and everyone is happy.
• I Love Burgers at Palazzo and Town Square – Burgers and fries are always a hit. The shakes are delicious and the finger foods to start will help you with the kid who does not want beef. Town Square is actually better priced and they have some selections on that menu that will have you craving a healthier alternative to a burger.
• American Coney Island – In Downtown Las Vegas you can find some $2 hot dogs but I’ll pay a little more for the American Coney Island hot dog at the D Hotel. It snaps when you bite into it and the bun is fluffy and light. I can do 3 easily but I do one because my children devour these like candy.
• Gordon Ramsay Burger – Splurge a little with a Ramsay burger or have the kids split a hot dog. This ends up being a cheap meal if some splitting occurs and it is right at center strip at Planet Hollywood.
• Grimaldi’s Pizza at Palazzo– 2 pizzas for 4 people will do and then you can order one to go. This pizza is a little addicting so use caution.

Along with those suggestions I almost always take my kids to Bucca di Peppo at Excalibur and they love it. The portions are family style and if you limit your alcohol consumption it is one of the best deals on the Las Vegas strip. Who doesn’t like spaghetti and meatballs?

I’ll also hit Hash House A Go Go at the Quad for large breakfast portions, Cheesecake Factory in the Forum Shops for cheap kids meals and Pinks Hot Dogs and Earl of Sandwich at Planet Hollywood fore more cheap options.

Yes, you can eat with the family in Las Vegas and not spend a small fortune.
