Shopping at Wynn Las Vegas
If you are staying at the Wynn or Encore adjoining resorts, or you just happen to be nearby with an unlimited credit account, you’ll have a hard time resisting the pull of the shops at Wynn and Encore.
Steve Wynn, who assembled the impressive shopping arcade at Bellagio (the first seriously high-end retail collection on the Las Vegas Strip) sought to top his own creation with first the Shops at Wynn and then later the second row of stores at Encore. Few retail experiences could easily improve upon both the selection and the lavishness of the surroundings.
At the Wynn Esplanade, look for the House of Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Manolo Blahnik, Oscar De La Renta, and Chloé. It might be considered a small selection, but it’s a small selection of some of the finest designers in the world, without question.
Men will be well-dressed by Alexander McQueen and Brioni—and if that doesn’t interest, send them over to the exclusive Ferrari store and dealership (the only one in Nevada), elsewhere on property.
But it goes beyond fashion, Chopard, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Rolex, and IWC Schaffhausen timepieces are all represented here, Jewelers include Cartier and Graff Diamonds, Vertu high-end mobile phones also has a rare storefront. And then there’s LVNV, the store in which you can buy all of the products, linens, towels and other items featured throughout the property. As well as some gorgeous décor selections chosen by property designer Roger Thomas.
In Encore—actually the shopping connects the properties—you’ll find Hermes and Loro Piana knits, Rock & Republic, more timepieces by Piaget, and boutiques featuring a variety of couture and shoewear brands. There’s also a great store with food and kitchen products selected by all the resort chefs.
Wow, speaking of food, all this schlepping is going to make you hungry and thirsty. Luckily, if you’re in the Wynn Esplanade, you can end your retail therapy with a unique dinner at Bartolotta Ristorante Di Mare, a gorgeous and unique restaurant serving rare fish flown in directly from Italy. Over in Encore’ shops is the slightly less fancy but plenty fun Botero Steakhouse, a gorgeous circular room inspired by--and displaying--the works of Fernando Botero (you’ll recognize his plump figures immediately). The tic-tac-toe crudo plate here is one of my favorites, but you’ll find great meat too. And if you happen to be vegetarian or vegan, fear not, both restaurants have special selections for you, right on the menu. This property has truly thought of everything.
