Summer Vacation Travel Checklist – Finding Something To Do In Las Vegas

It is almost that time of the year when you head to Las Vegas for a few days of fun in the sun and long nights doing those things that we don’t talk about once we cross the state line. This is the quick checklist to help you come up with the best plan of action for your Las Vegas summer vacation.

There is no shortage of things to do in Las Vegas but there is always a shortage of time so this concise list should help you find a few highlights but be warned it will leave you wanting for more. Las Vegas does that to you so the minute you head to the airport you can be sure that you will be planning your return trip.

Find Something To Do in Las Vegas

  • The LINQ – Everyone is excited about the new kid on the block and you should be. The LINQ has so many options that you could blow an entire day just exploring the shops and having drinks at each of the locations that give you a great view of the foot traffic and the High Roller. A few “must do” items include Brooklyn Bowl for an evening of live music, Blvd. Cocktail for a journey into the mind of a mixologist and the Polaroid Fotobar to help you print those images on your phone that you really would love to see framed.
  • Exotic Racing - The dream of driving a fast car on a tight track while looking like a pro is held by many and Las Vegas offers that experience at Exotic Racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. You don’t have to invest the $150k in an Italian automobile just to be able to learn how to handle it at high speeds. The people at exotics show you all you need to know to hit the gas with all you have and take a turn like a pro. If you have a chance, go on a ride along with the drivers who drift for a living. You will be gripping the door handle tighter than you thought possible.
  • Red Rock Canyon - So I am telling you to go on a hike in the middle of the summer? Well, yes. Go early in the morning or in the late afternoon and you might enjoy the changing colors and the peaceful atmosphere. This is the Un-Vegas thing to do and sometimes you just need a little fresh air to reset your soul. Stop at the visitors center and ask about the best hikes for the summer and the rangers will have you in the shade while getting a little dirty.
  • Mob Museum – Head Downtown and learn about organized crime in an interactive museum that not only touches on how the Mob transformed Las Vegas but how it has made an impact on American history. You don’t have to be a history buff to appreciate the stories behind the characters that became larger than life while playing major roles in every facet of the Vegas experience.
