Summer Vacation Travel Checklist – Picking the Right Hotel
It is almost that time of the year when you head to Las Vegas for a few days of fun in the sun and long nights doing those things that we don’t talk about once we cross the state line. This is the quick checklist to help you come up with the best plan of action for your Las Vegas summer vacation.
Get on it already!
Pick a hotel
As you decide on a hotel figure out just how much time you may want to sit by the pool and how important being able to walk back up to your room from the club is. The little details make all the difference. The cost of the room, while important, is only a good deal if you are not spending extra money on transportation.
- Cosmopolitan Hotel – Marquee nightclub, great food options and the ultimate Las Vegas party atmosphere. You will pay a little more but it is very convenient and you are in the center of all the action. If possible try to get a terrace suite with a view of the strip and the Fountains of Bellagio. There is no better view in Las Vegas. While you are there don’t miss Rose.Rabbit.Lie.
- Mandalay Bay – The pool is why you’ll stay here but Light Nightclub will help you dance into the early hours. Dinner and drinks at so many quality restaurants make this a good choice. The south strip location can be expensive if you are heading to clubs at Wynn and Palazzo. Don’t miss Kumi Japanese Restaurant for dinner or even for a few cocktails and snacks.
- Palms – If you want the party atmosphere but a little off strip hospitality this works. You get the nightlife options, the pool party during the day and enough dining choices that you do not have to leave the resort. If you do however you will be in a taxi to the strip. Don’t miss drinks at Social Bar, located in the center of the casino you will be impressed with their cocktails and their ability to make a stiff drink.
- Trump International Las Vegas – when you need relaxation with a tiny taste of Las Vegas but a much bigger helping of luxury. You’ll enjoy the peaceful pool in a comfortable cabana after a morning at the spa. Relax, rejuvenate and get it all within walking distance of the strip. No casino noise, no cigarette smoke and none of the typical Las Vegas nonsense. It’s all about accentuating the positive at Trump Las Vegas.
Do you have enough Las Vegas summer hotel ideas? Don’t forget the lazy river at Monte Carlo, The shopping at Caesars Palace or the nightlife at Wynn.
