It's that time of year when the costumed folks in Las Vegas come out in full force and their outfits get even more bizarre, but don't worry, it's just in celebration of one of the best events in town: Halloween.

If you don’t make it to LIMELIGHT at The Plaza Hotel & Casino by November 1, you will be missing out on one of the best shows ever creatively consummated. Making blanket statements like this isn’t often a good idea but, seriously, this is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen in oh-so-many realms.

It’s time to take a trip back to when prohibition was in full swing and the underground world of booze, tobacco and all-around depravity was an attractive lifestyle for many.

Opening this Friday, Sept. 12 is the high-energy, cheeky new show LIMELIGHT premiering at The Plaza Hotel & Casino. It’s a chance to experience a unique twist and creative endeavor onstage. A show that breaks the commonality and norm of the regular Vegas scene by integrating a strong storyline portrayed through dancing, singing, comedic vignettes, and awe-inspiring costumes.

Vegas is a great town. You can do so many things in this city to stay entertained with everything from dining to skydiving, clubbing and more. But, if you’re like me and money for a vacation doesn’t come around often, then how do you do Vegas on a budget?

Not to worry, living in Vegas and doing so on a budget has helped me find the ultimate in cheap entertainment and fun.

Webster’s Dictionary defines burlesque as “a kind of entertainment that was popular in the U.S. in the late 19^th and early 20^th centuries… that included funny performances, singing, dancing… sometimes performances in which women took off their clothes.”

When the sun goes down in Vegas, a sensual world lights up the city after dark. Discover a few of these alluring places to really get your temperature rising.

If you’re looking for something out of the norm in Las Vegas, beyond the usual club or bar, then 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque is the place for you. Located in the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino across from the House of Blues, under the escalator and tucked away from the buzz of the casino floor is this curious new social lounge – the brainchild of Hollywood personality Holly Madison.

Vegas is the adult playground that doesn't stop when it comes to entertainment, even several of the shows are adult-friendly and we've found some of the best for this summer. 

Get ready for some gin and juice, Vegas! Snoop Dogg is descending on the city of sin and it’s going to be a roaring good time. We mean roaring as in 1920’s Prohibition-style fun with the debut of Snoopadelic Cabaret. Yep, that’s right, Snoop Dogg is opening a cabaret in town. Snoop Dogg fans, you better hurry to snag tickets, it’ll only be a six-date run.
