Calling all beer sommeliers, it’s time to sample a plethora of the world’s finest brews. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is once again bringing Desert Hops: An International Beer Experience to the Boulevard Pool this September 27.

This year, more than 150 beers from approximately 25 countries will be available to sample -- from Japan and the U.S. to Australia and more.

It’s tall, thin and glittering, much like the patrons that visit it. The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino hit the Strip hard in 2010, instantly shaking things up for the rest of its neighboring hotels.

Wandering through the interior of The Cosmo looks like Jay Gatsby and Alice in Wonderland went into business together. Almost five years later, the hotel is still going strong, with a few recent evolutions on the horizon.

There is something in the Las Vegas air that motivates us to have a good time while enjoying a few cocktails and rehearsing all the bad pick–up lines we have stored in our mental bank. Quite often I’ll have a conversation at a Las Vegas Nightclub with a member of the opposite sex and the discussion almost always turns to what I do for a living.
