The Wet Republic Ultra Pool at the MGM Grand is kicking off its summer season with a bang by featuring the “funky house and tribal sounds” of DJ-duo Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano on Saturday, March 29. Since we are talking golf we should mention that next month the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational is going on at Shadow Creek Golf Course. The tournament is hosted by Aria Resort and casino and has a huge list of celebrities that try to tame the beast that is Shadow Creek.

Every year at this time this question is asked of me. Is it pool season yet? Well, contrary to popular belief it is not always pool season in Las Vegas. In fact some months are just wicked cold and your best bet is to sit in a comfortable lounge sipping on a fabulous cocktail. The pools start opening in early March and usually stay open until mid-October.
The 2013-14 winter season has been a bone-chilling one to say the least. With much of North America bombarded with heavy snowstorms shutting down multiple airport on the East Coast, and even current temperatures seem disturbingly chilly:

Las Vegas - 81 degrees...
Yep, that's right, Las Vegas this Sunday is expected to be an astonishing 81 degrees.
