It’s that time of year again, when groups of best friends gather from all different parts of the country and descend upon Las Vegas for the first weekend of March Madness.  It all commences on Thursday, March 15 with 16 heart pounding, adrenaline filled games that keep the sports books on edge and the beer flowing like the Colorado River.   Outside of holiday weekends, this may be the most electric weekend in Las Vegas and while the traditional sports books are some of the best game watching spots, here are some alternative options

In the words of Darryl Waltrip, “Boggity boogity boogity, let’s go racing boys” and that’s exactly what is happening this weekend in Las Vegas.  All eyes will be on the entertainment capital of the world as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway plays home to NASCAR and both the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series.  From Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon to Las Vegas’ own Busch Brothers, Kurt and Kyle, Sin City will be smoking hot this weekend for the annual stop on the race schedule.

Just announced, Zarkana, the Cirque du Soleil show that has been enjoyed by over 1 million spectators in New York, Madrid and Moscow is coming to Las Vegas.  The show which will appear at ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter Las Vegas will take the place of Viva ELVIS which is located on the second floor of the resort.  The first public performance of Zarkana is scheduled to be held on October 25.
