If you’re headed to Vegas over the next few weeks, you might want to take note of a few changes about town. Staying at Excalibur Hotel & Casino? Well, you’ll have to go elsewhere for your buffet options as remodeling has begin at the Excalibur Buffet and it won’t be ready until January 2015.

Those looking to stay at Westgate might want to wait until early 2015 as the hotel rooms are receiving a serious renovation that applies to more than 1,000 rooms. Until then, construction might be a bit much if you’re staying on the property.

Downtown Las Vegas Events Center is Ready For Action

It’s officially opened and while the lineup may be sparse as of now, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) is expected to house a number of events with the ability to host up to 15,000 patrons.

The DLVEC hosted The Great Vegas Gridiron Grill-Off BBQ & Tailgate Festival last weekend (Sept. 6-7) with the next event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 featuring a live performance by Capital Cities. The concert begins at 9 p.m. with special guests by Joywave. Tickets range from $25 to $35 and will take place outside rain or shine with standing room only.
