We're pretty much already used to having The LINQ as our retail, dining and entertainment promenade here in Las Vegas, and change is once again in the air as Caesars Entertainment prepares to open its hotel doors on October 30.

You don’t really need to be forced to stay at the Palazzo or Venetian resorts. Let’s face it, with the amount of restaurants, entertainment and luxury accommodations available it is a slam dunk. However, sometimes you have to convince those people you share space with so these three reasons are really all you need.

You’re hungry and you don’t want to spend a lot of money. Las Vegas is notorious for being that spot where you bypass food to spend your money on other things, mainly the money goes to gambling and alcohol but before you stone me for making that assumption realize that we are talking about Las Vegas. Those bright lights and shiny towers are not paid for by people who are looking to lose money, those things are built on the backs of the people on the tables and in the clubs drinking $17 cocktails.

This week hockey fans from Colorado and Los Angeles descend on the MGM Grand Arena for Frozen Fury. This annual pre-season match-up between the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche has become a huge event on the hockey calendar even though the game does not even count in the standings. Who can blame the fans when you consider that you can combine a weekend of hockey and a weekend in Vegas!

For one night only, one of the Venetian's shining restaurant stars – Delmonico Steakhouse – is hosting a five-course Templeton Rye Whiskey and pork dinner pairing. The menu infuses pork items with Templeton Rye Whiskey, which was the same whiskey that Al Capone used to flood the streets of Chicago and New York City during the Prohibition Era. Menu items for this dinner include like Cajun Boudin Boulettes, Caramelized Porchetta, Butterscotch Bacon Pudding, and Panéed Pork Chops, to name just a few.

Munich and Vegas could be distant cousins, so it’s no surprise that Sin City has always been primed and ready to celebrate Oktoberfest like nobody’s business (except maybe Germany's). Ready to raise your pint? Here’s where Vegas is tapping kegs, eating schnitzel, and donning lederhosen.

First off, you should know that The Venetian is the world's largest hotel and resort complex. The biggest on Earth. I've lived here for about 6 years and I still get lost every single time I set foot inside The Venetian, or The Palazzo for that matter. I have an impeccable sense of direction, mind you. So, as long as you don't mind some walking, the treasures waiting inside The Venetian are definitely worth the adventure.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas entertainment lineup has been heating up lately, especially on the third Monday of each month when Mark Shunock brings his hit show Mondays Dark to the Vinyl Theatre.

It’s time to get your Guinness beer drinking on at Rí Rá Irish Pub as they attempt to break a Guinness World Record for hosting 16 days of live music 24 hours each and every day.

At exactly 1 p.m. on October 1, several bands of a variety of musical styles will be playing their hearts out back-to-back, as they only take 25-second breaks between songs and five minutes between sets.

It’s a luxurious and upscale new nightclub tucked away on the main floor of Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Catering predominately to the LGBT community, Liaison Nightclub is the first of it’s kind inside of a Strip hotel and it is making waves among visitors and locals alike.

“Our credo is where beautiful strangers meet beautiful people and we cater to the LGBT demographic,” said Thomas Davis, manager of Liaison. “We provide a space that is so unique and a product that is so different from all the other venues.”
