The Drink Before The Dance: Hakkasan Las Vegas at MGM Grand
If you have not yet experienced Hakkasan Las Vegas you might have a hard time containing your excitement long enough to have a few drinks and a snack before your night begins. You’ll be coming up with a strategy to catch a glimpse of the mega club and possibly trying to come up with your lines for your new found friends. However, you have to know that the doors don’t open until 10pm so you’ll need a few suggestions for the late afternoon and early evening fun. With so much happening at MGM Grand Las Vegas I’m sure you’ll find a good way to occupy your idle time.
Pub 1842 – If you’re looking for a drink and a snack but don’t want to drop to much cash this is the spot. Sit at the bar and have one of their hand crafted cocktails or choose from their ample beer list. Go with something small, a burger, the lobster corn dogs or the crab cakes. If you get there early enough they’ll have some of their carbonated drinks that add a twist to your cocktail cravings and you can never go wrong with their house made infusions. You’ll want to stay longer if there is a game going on or if you are having fun at the bar but this is just an appetizer.
Shibuya – Go to the bar. Order a drink. Order some sushi. Chill out and feel it. This spot has an energy that just feels good. It is the perfect before show or nightclub spot. It’s casual enough to hang out but upscale enough to be okay wearing your nightlife attire. You might meet someone having a meal after a long day at a conference or someone getting ready to start a very long night of secretive behavior. Either way, don’t be afraid to socialize.
Rouge – This is a typical Las Vegas bar with a few impressive drinks and a decent list of beers and wines. The difference is that it has a decent lounge feel for the pre-party meet up. You sit around and get ready for the evening. You rest your feet because you know you’ll be dancing deep into the night.
West Wing Bar – This is actually the bar you’ll hit after the club if you want to find an out of the way place to have a conversation. The bar is tucked away near the north exit or back around the sports book and poker room. Once you find it don’t be alarmed if there are not a lot of people in here, that’s what you are going for.
Hakkasan – Oh, I guess you could just go to the restaurant and have a drink. Yes, or you could start your nightclub experience at Ling Ling Lounge. Yes, you could but with so many options for a drink why not really explore the MGM Grand.
