The Drink Before The Dance: The Bank Nightclub at Bellagio Las Vegas
Before you decide to have the quaint nightlife experience that is The Bank at Bellagio you’ll need to get the evening started in proper Las Vegas fashion. Don’t worry about getting in late, you’ll make your VIP reservations and soon be inside the upscale nightclub environment. First, though, you need to tour the bars of Bellagio to get your mind right.
Petrossian Bar – If you start your bar crawl in the early afternoon you’ll be delighted with some piano playing with your cocktail. What you should be checking out is the Afternoon Tea Service. I know you are asking yourself if I’m serious but I am. Have you ever done it? Have you ever sat with some pastries and some tea and just talked about the great things that are happening in your life. Don’t knock it until you try it. Maybe Tea is not for everyone so sit at the bar and try the classic cocktails from these very experienced bartenders., These are not mixologists, they are real bartenders who can mix a very good drink while telling you an engaging story.
The Bar at Sensi – If you need a snack you should walk over to Sensi and sit at the bar. They have a happy hour menu that is very impressive and I always say that a full stomach leads to a great evening of cocktails and conversation. The bar opens at 3pm but the bar menu is not available until 4pm. Have some braised oxtail or the shishito peppers along with a cocktail.
Lily Bar and Lounge – This is easily one of my favorite spots to meet people for a drink. They have plenty of big screens to watch a game while maintaining a very classy and plush atmosphere. The music is on but it’s not overwhelming and when it gets packed with people you can find a spot to sit. It’s in the center of the casino with giant open windows that allow you to see the action of the tables. The cocktail menu is impressive and you’ll ponder whether you should leave the lounge in order to hit the nightclub. It’s a different more casual approach to Las Vegas nightlife.
Hyde Bellagio – This is almost the next step after Lily before you head into a true nightclub. The truth is you might not need to leave HYDE Bellagio because it is just as dynamic as a full blown nightclub experience. Get there early and you have a good menu of small plates while you enjoy the indoor/outdoor feel of an ultra lounge. If you find it hard to leave you’ll be satisfied with the dance floor that opens up as the night goes along.
