Vegas is filled with unique nooks and crannies. There are, however, some very unusual places and experiences that you can uncover in town, making your trip even more special. Check out our list below to experience some of the strangest and most distinctive activities on your Vegas vacation. Get a little crazy and get off the beaten path.

We all love people watching and it is key to better understanding the pulse of a community. Las Vegas is a top spot for people watching -- a place where you can see the likes of showgirls walking the Strip, Elvis impersonators mingling among crowds and many other interesting characters abound here. Vegas, get ready, William Shatner is coming to the MGM Grand July 19 through 21 and he’s laying it all out during his one-man show. Considered a hugely popular tour that has been performed worldwide, Shatner will “take his audience on a 90-minute voyage.”

Shatner got his start as Captain James T. Kirk in the television series Star Trek. From there his career broadened to include everything from Shakespearean acting to becoming a cultural icon, which he discusses in his show.

Let’s face it, you’re probably going to get a little wild on your Vegas vacation – that’s what this town is great for. But coming home with a permanent Kermit the Frog tattoo on your forearm is probably not what you had in mind.
