SLS Grand Opening
One of the most anticipated openings of the year is with the new SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. With it comes several new nightlife venues that cater to a variety of party-people styles. SLS is slated to open the week before Labor Day Weekend, but is bound to really get ramped up with the three-day holiday. For starters, you can try the new Foxtail Nightclub, which combines art and fashion into the nightlife scene. Or head to LiFE Nightclub for a twist of rebellion in your nighttime party. SLS will also have the Sayers’ Club, modeled after the infamous live music venue of the same name in Hollywood.
Dayclubs & Nightclubs
If you want to spend your weekend at the pool then you’ve got the right idea. The key, however, is to start planning now if you’re headed to Vegas. Traditionally, Labor Day Weekend pools and nightclubs sell out of tickets, cabanas, daybeds and tables quickly, especially as you get closer to the holiday. Not sure where you want to go? If you’re planning on walking the Strip this Labor Day Weekend to just eat, knock back a cold one and enjoy the energy from the patrons on the infamous Las Vegas Boulevard, then we recommend checking out the following joints.
Head to Carlos’ n Charlie’s for some Mexican cuisine and bid farewell to summer with a two-for-one frozen margarita or Coors Draft beer. While Cabo Wabo Cantina inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood has yet to announce their Labor Day Weekend specials, we can say with certainty that this is always, and we mean always, a great place to spend a holiday afternoon in Vegas. Not only is this party a haven known for its cooling and scrumptious concoctions and you never know when Sammy Hagar will drop in to check on his restaurant.
Round out the night with some drinking games at PBR Rock Bar and you’re sure to have the perfect nightcap to the best weekend ever.
Concert Headliners
If you’d rather spend a night catching a concert, we recommend heading to the new Brooklyn Bowl. Not only can you bowl while watching a concert and snacking on some of the best grub of your life from Blue Ribbon, but they’ve got amazing cocktails and beers as well. For the holiday weekend at the Bowl, you can catch the Avett Brothers on Labor Day. Or check out a handful of other shows you can catch while in town this weekend.
