Tour Manager: Las Vegas Concerts & Comedy This Weekend

Hey everyone, Tour Manager back with my picks for this weekend in Las Vegas entertainment.

Thursday, August 4

• The weekend gets started with Corey Taylor, frontman for bands Stone Sour and Slipknot performs an acoustic set inside Body English at Hard Rock Hotel.  Tickets are $25 plus tax and fees.

• Over at The Cosmopolitan, free entertainment continues at Book & Stage where indie-rock band Other Lives performs two sets at 10 p.m. and midnight.

Friday, August 5

• Renowned alternative-rock band Weezer led by Rivers Cuomo will take the stage as part of Red Rock Las Vegas’ REVOLUTION – PARTY FOR THE PEOPLE summer concert series.  Tickets are $30 plus tax and fees.

• On the south side of town, Green Valley Ranch presents Nashville Unplugged with tickets only $5.

• If you’re looking for laughs, head on over to The Orleans where DL Hughley will perform stand-up and have your cheekbones hurting.  Tickets start at $44 plus tax and fees.

• Over at the Mirage, Ron White performs as part of the resort’s Aces of Comedy line-up. Tickets start at $59.99 plus tax and fees.

Saturday, August 6

• Big time country music stars will headline the concerts on this night.  At Red Rock Las Vegas, Toby Keith and his Locked & Loaded tour with supporting acts Eric Church and J.T. Hodges will make for a great evening of music at the intimate outdoor amphitheater.  Tickets start at $43 plus tax and fees.

• Out at Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, legendary country musician Dwight Yoakam takes the stage.  Tickets start at $32.95 plus tax and fees.

• If you are looking for a little reggae, hip-hop fusion, head to Hard Rock Hotel where Matisyahu will be performing at the Beach Club.  Tickets are $27.50 plus tax and fees.
