Travel Through A Lens: NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas

In the words of Darryl Waltrip, “Boggity boogity boogity, let’s go racing boys” and that’s exactly what is happening this weekend in Las Vegas.  All eyes will be on the entertainment capital of the world as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway plays home to NASCAR and both the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series.  From Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon to Las Vegas’ own Busch Brothers, Kurt and Kyle, Sin City will be smoking hot this weekend for the annual stop on the race schedule.

Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Sam’s Town 300 calls for a 2 p.m. start time and will be 200 laps of fast paced action.  Tickets are available by visiting www.lvms.com.

Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 400 calls for a high noon start and is 267 laps of high intensity racing as Carl Edwards looks to defend his win from last year.  Tickets are available by visiting www.lvms.com.

Expect perfect weather for the weekend of racing and if you are heading out to the track, remember to bring with you sunscreen and a hat as the Las Vegas sun is strong and can give you a burn much easier than where you may be coming from.
