Travel Tip Wednesday: Benefits Of A Frequent Flyer Credit Card
Hey everyone, Galavantier Guru back with another Travel Tip I hope you find useful when planning that next trip.
If you don’t already, may I suggest you sign up for a Frequent Flyer Credit Card with the airline you like to fly. Between rising ticket costs and most people looking for ways to save money, there are few better options when it comes to air travel then accumulating miles towards a future flight. Plus most offer a nice bonus mile incentive for signing up. While the main advantage is earning miles for all credit card purchases, you can also check your airlines' frequent flyer program to earn miles for dining, shopping and more that come in at times at x2 or more miles per dollar spent. Instead of paying say $500.00 to fly roundtrip from Las Vegas to New York, wouldn’t it be nice to spend 25,000 miles and be able to use that money on your trip? Also don’t forget that hotels are getting in on the game and partnering with airlines too!
There are lots of good choices out there but I like US Airways Dividend Miles credit card program; especially with the ability for automatic upgrades when you hit a certain level with your miles. Also please make sure to read the fine print before you sign up for any credit card as there may be certain restrictions and stipulations on earning and redeeming miles.
Until next time,
