Where To Party Vegas-Style When in Los Angeles
When it comes to partying in Las Vegas, there's no shortage of options. Hell, one of the city's fastest growing tourism segments is nightlife, so we're well-versed in every single club at our disposal. This city never sleeps, and we're guessing it's because we're all "turnt af" in the club.
So when we here at Galavantier travel elsewhere in the nation, we want the same amazing nightlife experiences! And by golly - we're going to get it. Since LA is our closest city, we figured it's best to nail down our favorite clubs in the city of angels for anyone looking to add to their nightclub bucket list.
Sound Nightclub
One of the coolest clubs we've hit up in L.A.'s Central Hollywood has got to be Sound Nightclub. It's definitely not the largest club, by any means, with 660 people at max capacity, but the sound system and visual effects are perfect for any nighttime revelries. They play mostly EDM and have curated a great list of local and nationally-recognized DJs like Marcus Schulz, Luciano, and Chvrches.
Emerson Theater
Take a bit of prohibition-era revelry, add a dash of burlesque, and of course we're in! Emerson Theater is an intimate 500-person venue that makes us feel right at home with that speakeasy vibe we've all come to know and love, situated right in the midst of Hollywood. Don't let that small size turn you off, though, because you're that much closer to all the action of performances and your favorite DJs. Not to mention that Funktion One sound system keeping the place bumping all night long!
Exchange LA
Your first thoughts upon walking into Exchange LA very well may be "Holy. Crap." This huge venue (1,500 people) reminds us most of Vegas' mega-clubs, so we feel right at home. The mezzanine level is a great way to view the club in its entirety. Their partnership with Insomniac makes for some amazing talent coming in and out of the lineup, and those nights with a big name can get PACKED and really heat up the place. Basically, it's awesome for when you want to go hard. Like Vegas. Pro Tip: Use the downstairs bar for those crazy nights to get a drink faster. Unless you have a table, in which case, you're already a pro and probably skipped reading the Pro Tip.
Lure Nightclub
Just off of Sunset Boulevard, there's a club where you might just feel compelled to walk into. There's just something pulling you inwards, towards the heavy beats and the beautiful people. You don't know what it is, exactly, but you trust your gut and your friends walking in with you. The different colored lanterns hanging above you are only outshined by the clear orbs containing beautiful, scantily-clad women within them. This is (the aptly-named) Lure Nightclub in L.A.'s Central Hollywood and its sexy, modern decor is an awesome option for spending your night. You'll see EDM artists like Sex Panther, Borgeous, Helena and Tommy Trash in a fairly intimate setting. The dance floor is almost always popping, so it's a great option for when you want to get up and move around but don't want the overwhelming nature of a mega-club.
Avalon Hollywood
Step inside Avalon Nightclub, and BOOM - you're transported into an epic mega-club experience of your dreams, but with a bit more history than the rest. The Beatles performed their first California gig in this joint, and Avalon continues to push the realm of nightlife into the future with its EDM playlist and nationally-recognized DJ headliners like Skrillex, Calvin Harris and Erick Morillo. The dance floor is one of the best ways to take in all the action going on at the elevated DJ booth with those killer light displays. It's not surprising to see some Hollywood A-listers around here, since they frequently host movie premier events and after parties, so be sure to bring your A game if you've ever dreamed of partying amongst the rich & famous and catching your big break. Or at least have the night of your life.
