Where To Watch The Fireworks In Las Vegas

Counting down the last few seconds of the year on New Year’s eve is always better when the sky lights up with fireworks and the energy of the evening is brought to a crescendo. Everyone hugs and kisses and then someone tries to sing Auld Lang Syne and then they realize they don’t know the words.

New Year’s Eve can be so much fun in Las Vegas so here are a few tips to make sure you have a good time. If you plan on watching the fireworks you’ll need to remember that the Las Vegas strip will be jammed with people so you might want to consider a nightclub that gives you that option. We have a list of all the nightclubs so find a good one and dance until the clock strikes 12.

If you decide to find a spot on the Las Vegas strip you’ll need a spot that gives you a good view of the space above the hotels that are firing off their celebratory pyrotechnic display.

These Las Vegas hotels will be having fireworks this New Year’s Eve:

  • MGM Grand
  • ARIA
  • Planet Hollywood
  • Caesars Palace
  • Treasure Island
  • Venetian

Obviously, if you are out front of these hotels you should get a good view but there are also spots such as Cabo Wabo Cantina that have patios where the party will go on all night and you get a good view of the fireworks display. LAVO at Palazzo has an outdoor deck and the view from the Startosphere Tower is tough to beat. You can probably get a good look from PURE and from the party at the Cosmopolitan pool.

Be patient throughout the night as the streets get filled with people who are attempting to have a good time while trying to have too much of a good time. It’s always better to be in control and to stay safe.

As for what you'll be singing when the countdown ends? Find someone you want to kiss and then do that for longer than it takes to sing a song. That's a better way to celebrate anyway.
