Why The Brooklyn Bowl Amazes as Headliners Grow
With only a few months under its belt, the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas is still making headlines by continually adding unique headliners to the concert roster for 2014. With bands like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Blue October, Grouplove and Portugal The Man slated to play this bowling-meets-concert-hall, the Bowl further cements itself as an eclectic venue that rocks.
One of the off-the-wall headliners this summer is Spoon, who will play nightly June 26 through June 28. The Austin-based band has been on a four-year hiatus from the music scene, but they are back promoting their eighth full-length album and they’ve chosen The Brooklyn Bowl as one of the first stops on their tour.
The concept behind the Bowl is to provide that epic rock ‘n’ roll setting that melds amazing home cooked-style cuisine from Blue Ribbon with the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with the band while enjoying a game of bowling.
One of the most interesting aspects of The Bowl is that you can catch live music for free on certain nights of the week like the Reggae Bowl or The Funk Jam, which features no cover. For other shows at the Bowl, amazingly enough, tickets average anywhere from $20 to $60. So, not only can you enjoy live music, bowling, cocktails and food, but you can do so at great prices, a rare thing on the Strip.
