At Galavantier.com we are thrilled when our partners are recognized for their excellence.  Our friends at Pink Jeep® Tours recently accepted an award as 2012 Best Ground Tour Company from the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association (SNHCA).  Richard Scown, General Manager for Pink Jeep® Tours – Las Vegas, accepted the award.

Hoover Dam used enough concrete to build a two-lane highway from San Francisco to New York (not the one on the Las Vegas Strip), spawned an entire city (Boulder City) to house 5,000 dam workers and as the largest project of the time it is one of the Seven Wonders of the Industrial World.

As the many workers that keep Hoover Dam a highly-sought after tourist attraction would say, it is worth the Dam trip from the rows of blackjack tables and bars on the Las Vegas Strip.

Long before the Las Vegas Strip took shape and mobsters ever thought about relocating their money to a desert oasis, Las Vegas was a cow town with natural springs and meadows.

The 180-acre Springs Preserve clings to Sin City’s original heritage with botanical gardens, interpretive trails through wetlands along with museums, galleries and outdoor events.

Otto Enoteca Pizzeria is a very unassuming restaurant located on the second floor of the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Las Vegas in the Piazza San Marco. You can sit inside the restaurant or outside on the patio where you can watch European street performers.

The music is always on in Las Vegas, but when the Electric Daisy Carnival came to town for the first time last year it put the city on the electric dance music map. Since then a tidal wave of the world’s top DJs have frequented the city and the trend is only growing stronger.

The roar of the engines normally heard at Las Vegas Motor Speedway couldn’t match the sound that will come out of the racetrack beginning June 8 when the Electric Daisy Carnival comes to town. The festival returns to the desert for the second time in a three-day event that is already sold out! If you can’t wait to break your glow sticks or missed out on tickets, don’t fret.
