Eating in Las Vegas: Gordon Ramsay Pub at Caesars Palace
The Experience
Sitting at the bar with an Innis & Gunn I talk to a couple from Minnesota and I tried to talk hockey but they talk about how excited they are about Gordon Ramsay and his restaurants in Las Vegas. I turn around and meet an attractive woman from Seattle and she tells me she's waiting for her friends but she dreads the moment they want to leave this place and head to a fancy dinner elsewhere. "This bar is so casual I want to stay all night" she smiles at me as she cradles her beer in her hand. She makes her way through the menu that is on an iPad complete with sexy food images and bright displays of cocktails and descriptions of the Ramsay Pub experience. Gordon Ramsay packs them in and they don’t want to leave. It’s casual, comfortable and disguised as a Las Vegas pub. Go into the restaurant and you see a real restaurant complete with a few hidden corners where you might be able to eek out a romantic dinner date.
Who You Are Taking To The Restaurant
This is a fun place for a group of people or for the beer lovers wanting to sit at the bar to snack on the pub menu. The main restaurant is high energy with plenty to see. Sit there long enough and you might rank this among the best people watching on the Las Vegas strip. The restaurant is hot so everyone is coming in from the pretheater people to the Gordon Ramsay television fans.
What You’ll Order
If you are sitting at the bar try the pub menu order the Scotch Egg and Duck Confit Poutine. You can ‘t go work with beer sausage and duck gravy. If you can share with someone try the short rib sandwich or the fish and chips. If you are in the restaurant try the braised pork belly and the Pub “spots’ (sliders). The best time to stop in might be lunch as it is a little easier to get a table. Banger’s and Mash or some Shepherd’s pie. Things have really improved at Ramsay Pub so het in and have a few beers with some pretty good pub fare.
