Gems of The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas
It’s tall, thin and glittering, much like the patrons that visit it. The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino hit the Strip hard in 2010, instantly shaking things up for the rest of its neighboring hotels.
Wandering through the interior of The Cosmo looks like Jay Gatsby and Alice in Wonderland went into business together. Almost five years later, the hotel is still going strong, with a few recent evolutions on the horizon.
When it comes to the venues under Cosmo’s umbrella, there are definitely some front-runners and we’re going to let you in on some of these local favorites.
Fashionistas, unite! The glamorous couture service Rent The Runway (RTR) has a store location right inside The Cosmopolitan, and it’s the perfect solution to that ever-nagging “I have nothing to wear” problem – even if you’re digging through piles of clothes as you say it.
Carrying sizes 0-22 in the store as well as accessories means that most visitors to Vegas will be able to find designer duds that they’re able to rent that same night. Locals love the shop too, since they can find samples of dresses they love and order them from RTR’s headquarters for an upcoming event. Ladies, if all your friends keep getting married lately, this place is your new best friend.
Sahra Spa’s Hammam Soap Ritual
A Turkish hammam is an experience all unto itself, and The Cosmopolitan’s Spa offers a few variations that you can experience. The Soap Ritual is 50 minutes of the luxurious, sudsy massage portion of the full Hammam experience that really takes the cake. Getting this spa service on its own will only run you $185, as opposed to the full 80 minute $300 experience, but it does wonders on your skin.
Comme Ça Happy Hour
Everyone loves a good happy hour and this gem is a personal favorite for many reasons:
- The booze is delicious, creative and served by the nicest bar staff in Vegas.
- The small bites menu is reasonably priced for the French fusion they’re serving up.
- The view alone is great, especially over a romantic dinner, but even for happy hour you'll get a sultry vantage point of the glittering city as you sip your expertly crafted cocktail.
Don't miss our favorite Happy Hour menu items when you're there from 5 to 8 p.m.:
- Gordon’s Cup Cocktail – Gin, Fresh Cucumber, Muddled Limes, Simple Syrup, Cracked Salt & Pepper
- Beef Tartare – Olive Oil, Poached Egg Yolk, House Pickles, Grilled Country Bread
- The Comme Ca Burger – Vermont Cheddar, Secret Sauce, Onion Slaw and their ridiculously delicious French Fries
