Shopping in Las Vegas: The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
It goes without saying (but we’ll say it anyway) that virtually every large casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip has some good shopping. However, one casino mall is truly the granddaddy of them all, and very arguably still the reigning retail monarch. I’m talking of course about the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Now in it’s 20th year of operation, the expanded Forum Shops offers a sprawling array of retail on every level, restaurants, services and more. A Strip shopping trip without a stroll down the faux Roman streets is definitely incomplete, no matter who you are or what you’re buying.
Fifth Avenue would have a tough time topping this window shopping: Louis Vuitton (two stores!), David Yurman, Gucci, Henri Bendel, Valentino, Christian Dior, Emilio Pucci, Custo Barcelona (yes, seriously), the biggest H&M in the USA (or so we’re told), La Perla, Elie Tahari, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Reed Krakoff, Tory Burch… the list goes on. And yes, Gap, Express, Juicy, 7 for all Mankind, all those more familiar brands are here too.
Looking for something sexy? Good luck deciding between Agent Provacateur, La Perla, Victoria’s Secret and more… Jewlery? Don’t even get me started.
Guys can find plenty too: Zegna, Ted Baker, Armani Exchange, Donald J. Pliner leather, Lacoste, Yoji Yamamoto, Vilebrequin, and it keeps going.
Not looking for threads? You’ll be happy to find the Strip’s one Apple store here, Breitling, Rolex and Hublot watches, Davante eyewear, Vosges chocolates and even Casa Fuente for rare cigars and cognacs (both of which you can enjoy there).
You’ve gotta be hungry at some point, right? Well then, you’re in a great place. For one thing, Wolfgang Puck’s legendary Spago is here, and yes, it is a good (but maybe a bit different) as the Beverly Hills one. If that might seem a little too formal, you can enjoy some creative but satisfying takes on Italian cuisine at Trevi, by the center fountain, or in the rotunda, get genuine American fare at Joe’s Stone Crab or P.J. Clarke’s, two solid neighbors. LA transplant also Sushi Roku does a nice job (with a swell view to match).
If you dragged the kids along, make them happy with a stop at the free animatronic Fall of Atlantis show (the aquariums behind the show are likewise not to be missed), if not Max Brenner’s Chocolate emporium. Hey, it’s Vegas—you got the memo on letting loose, right?
