Las Vegas has a way of a making you do things that you would otherwise not do such as drink heavily in the middle of the day after a long night of drinking and dancing. There is something in the Las Vegas air that motivates us to have a good time while enjoying a few cocktails and rehearsing all the bad pick–up lines we have stored in our mental bank. It is as if when we get off the airplane our processor slowed down just enough for us to reconsider all the smart decisions we have made in the past and we now get to ask for a redo.

It’s the weekend and you are so ready to get started with a three day party.

Life Is Beautiful Festival – Downtown Las Vegas

The Life is Beautiful Festival is coming to Downtown Las Vegas October 26-27, 2013 for an event that combines music, food, art, culture and Las Vegas into a two day event. This is not just a music festival it is an opportunity to sample food from some of the best chefs in town while enjoying performances from Cirque du Soleil performers all in one spot. 15 city blocks in Downtown Las Vegas will become a celebration of life.

When your good friend tells you that he is getting married, do you automatically think about having a bachelor party in Las Vegas? Oh yeah. You can see the entire party jamming into a taxi cab headed for a nightclub after a day at the pool. The bars, the blackjack tables and the wild actions that come when one of the guys decides to leave the roost are only the tip of the iceberg.

Do you have a plan?

You don’t let a fellow comrade leave without a huge party in Las Vegas so I’m going to have to help you come up with a few ideas.

Heraea at Palms Las Vegas – If I can watch sports and have a good burger there is no better combination. The burger at Heraea is a giant full flavored masterpiece. It’s so juicy that even though it has a well structured bun it eventually will become a mess. It will drip. It will ooze. It will lose its shape. Don’t worry though because those two beef patties will hold their flavor and at the end of the experience you will crave the bacon marmalade.

We have all left a nightclub late in the evening or early in the morning and had the crazy idea to have a meal. As if all that dancing and those extras cocktails have made us need a meal at 4am. We can’t wait until breakfast and dinner was too long ago. We have to have the late night meal.

• Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas - You don’t have to be a Michael Jackson fan to enjoy ONE but you’ll be surprised by just how many of the songs you are familiar with. You’ll also be surprised by the positive messages and the feeling of hope and happiness that come from the lyrics, the images and the performances. This is a must see show in Las Vegas.

Grab a group of your friends. Make a few bets. Find some seats. Order a few beers. Now you are set for long day of watching football and cheering at the television at the top of your lungs. Don’t worry about someone asking you to keep it down or mocking you for trying to dictate the outcome of the game. In Las Vegas watching football is allowed any way you like to do it.

Go ahead, wear your lucky socks, drink beer with only your left hand and breathe out of your nose during all punt returns. I know, they will help your team win.

Save the date people! August 24 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas the 27th annual Black & White Party to benefit AFAN. Aid For AIDS of Nevada is hosting a huge party and you can be a part of it. Aside from the huge party and the excessive amount of entertainment that will be offered you’ll be having fun and helping out a good cause at the same time.

Let’s assume you and your partner have really busy lives. Let’s also assume that you need a little time away from the family. You are not abandoning them you just need some alone time. You crave a little time doing dome alone stuff. I get it. We all get it.
