Want to see a show you’ll really remember? A show that could truly be presented “Only in Vegas?” Then consider Peepshow at Planet Hollywood. Maybe you’ve heard about it—the show that ex-Playmate and former Girls Next Door star Holly Madison made famous? Now Holly has been replaced in the starring role by another astounding reality star, Coco Austin (Ice Loves Coco).

I know what you’re thinking: An aquarium in the desert? Sure, why not? You think the fish at the aquariums by the ocean just walked into their tanks off the beach? Of course not. So the idea of a world-class aquarium in the middle of the Mohave really shouldn’t seem so hard to swallow. Hey, this is Vegas, we make magic happen every darn day.

Is it wrong that I want to pretend I’m a rock star? You can do it. You can stroll through the lobby and feel like the party is about to break out and you’ve learned how to handle the groupies. The Hard Rock Hotel has a reputation to uphold and you can be sure to add to the legend. However, I should add that with a few tips you can have the rock star atmosphere and plenty of that rest and relaxation that you might be seeking. You should walk around and look at the memorabilia on the walls.

Each and everyday I get hungry and make bad decisions. It’s almost cruel the way my body metabolizes because it practically forces me to choose the wrong foods. It’s Friday, It’s Vegas. Let’s make some magic. But this weekend, let’s do things a little differently. Instead of big an boisterous, just once, let’s try small and stylish. I’m talking about Surrender, the more intimate nightclub at Encore with cool design and sexy sounds. A more insidery crowd comes to Surrender, not that there’s anything underground about it, but these are the folks who are more interested in a good time than bragging about being somewhere famous.

Is it Summer already? Well not quite, but pool season in Las Vegas is here, so it’s time to suit up and get out there. Some might say a pool is a pool, when you come down to it: Some blue water, rows of lounges and lot of sweaty bodies. And a pool party? Add alcohol and loud music. All the same, basically.

Don’t judge me because I really enjoy the Barbie Suite. There is something about the pink pillows that makes everything better for me. Do judge me when I tell you that I almost missed my son’s birthday party because the Kingpin Suite had a hold on me and my lack of ability to pick up the 7 – 10 split. Be careful, the Palms Casino Resort can and will distract you into believing that Las Vegas is one non-stop party. However, there is a little something different at the Palms that you don’t find on the strip. There is a local flare. It’s hard to pinpoint but it feels more personal.

Sit by the pool. Or go shopping. You might think your options are limited during the afternoon in Las Vegas. But in addition to outdoor activities and indoor attractions (some even FREE) there are a handful of matinee show that are actually well worth your time.
