Like its namesake, Absinthe, the show on the Strip at Caesars Palace, can make you feel like you took a psychoactive drug. Suddenly, you’re addicted. After all, how do you explain the hard-to-believe acrobatics that take place, including tightrope walkers doing keg stands and a roller skating dynamic duo spinning on a nine-foot diameter stage without knocking out an audience member’s tooth? Perhaps that’s what happened to The Gazilionnaire, the ringleader of the show sporting a gold front tooth and gold shoes.

Aria and CityCenter have plenty of big name chefs and high priced restaurants  in its roster, but when Union changed their menu they may have vaulted themselves to the top of the pile.

Union considers itself a spirited, edgy, contemporary-American restaurant & lounge featuring fresh, seasonal fare paired with an eclectic selection of American and International wines, as well as an extensive cocktail list conceptualized and prepared by expert in-house mixologists.

• Kick start the weekend with an amazing performance from Steely Dan.  The legendary rock band brings their Jazz-Rock Ambassadors to the Galaxy tour to Pearl at Palms.  Tickets start at $85 plus tax and fees.

Friday, October 14

Treasure Island, easily one of the best bets on the Las Vegas Strip has everything one could want when visiting Las Vegas and then some.  With 2,664 rooms and 200 suites, Treasure Island is tucked on the north end of The Strip and in a fantastic location right off the I-15 and neighbors Fashion Show Mall, Wynn, Venetian, Palazzo and the Mirage; but let’s get back to what really makes the property great.

Like wine? Like pets?  If so, make your way to the Silverton Hotel Casino this Saturday, October 15 from 6-10 p.m. as the property hosts a wine tasting event, One Drunk Puppy.  Proceeds from the evening’s festivities will go to benefit the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
