The temperature is dropping and fall wedding season is in full swing!

Hey everyone, Tour Manager here with a rundown of some of your best bets in Las Vegas entertainment to look forward to this weekend.

Thursday, October 6

• The Misfits charge into town to kick start the weekend with a show at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay.  Tickets start at $26 plus tax and fees.

Friday, October 7

Trump. You know the name, but you’re wondering if it’s the proper place to spend a weekend in Vegas.

If you have overindulged on the multitude of sinful amenities offered by the Las Vegas strip and are in need a sanctuary devoid of civilization, slot machines and alcohol, why not check out Mt. Charleston. In the short drive it takes to reach Mt. Charleston from anywhere on the Strip, you can quickly find yourself nestled amongst the many peaks of the Spring Mountains, taking in the beautiful and underappreciated Las Vegas outdoors.

While Las Vegas isn’t thought of as a family friendly town now, you can still find plenty of things to do in Sin City that will be fun for youngsters and oldsters alike. Bring the little ones and stay at a hotel such as Circus Circus or Excalibur, the perfect settings for families with plenty of entertainment on the properties. Fall has arrived and once again the Bellagio Resort & Casino leaves us breathless with a wonderful Fall Conservatory which is on view through November 27th.  Added bonus to enjoying the amazing exhibit consisting of over 31,000 plants, guests are invited to visit with Bellagio horticulturists designated as “Mr. and Mrs. Green Thumb” from 10:30 a.m. to noon daily to receive fall gardening tips along with additional information about the exhibit.

• Gavin Rossdale and Bush are back with a new album and all their hits as they take the stage inside The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel.  Chevelle and Filter are also on the billing making for a great night of music.  Tickets start at $35.50.

Friday, September 30

She’s known as the Empress of Soul, and for a little longer, Gladys Knight is belting out her R&B tunes at the Tropicana. The seven-time Grammy Award-winning performer doesn’t come off like the diva she is, giggling with the audience and picking on her older brother Merald “Bubba” Knight, one of the original members of the Pips and performing with her in the show dubbed "A Mic and a Light.” The Trop even renamed the Tiffany Theater the Gladys Knight Theater while she’s in the house through October.

Before I talk about the food at Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio, I'd like to give the ultimate Vegas Strip pro tip: Make sure you reserve a table outside at or after dusk. Sitting outside at Bellagio with the fountain show is wonderful, especially if you’re with someone you love. The patio of Prime sits on the edge of the Lake Bellagio and is quite possibly the most perfect atmosphere for dinner.

Every year, about 150,000 couples tie the knot in Nevada, making it the wedding capital of the world. And no wonder. The state doesn’t require a pre-wedding blood test or a waiting period, and you can buy a marriage license at the county clerk's office, which stays open until midnight on weeknights and around the clock on weekends. Even if you are from outside the United States, you can get hitched with an Apostille from the Nevada Secretary of State.
