With big name headliners ranging from Britney Spears to Celine Dion, Vegas is a hub for seeing talented vocalists, musicians and more. If you’re headed to town soon, be sure to catch some of these great acts. Whether you enjoy listening to a renowned Vegas entertainer, catching a comedy show or checking out a visiting show, here are a few highlights to round out the year. Though most of us get our daily giggle fix from stumbling upon the next big, funny YouTube video, we all need an extra dose of laughter in our lives. The best way to get one just might be a trip to Vegas to see one of the countless comedy shows offered on The Strip.

Yes, that’s right, it’s a Nirvana tribute band, but there are some very eerily entertaining similarities to the real Nirvana, which essentially ended after Kurt Cobain's death in 1994.

Get your boots and hat ready, because Route 91 Harvest is going to take over the city this October.

From the hands of Live Nation and MGM Resorts comes the revamped Route 91 music festival. Now dubbed Route 91 Harvest, the three-day music festival will take place October 3-5 at The Lot across from Luxor Hotel & Casino. The talents of Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bently and Brantley Gilbert are slated for the festival's roster along with at least a dozen other country artists.

Beginning November 28, comedian Jeff Dunham is taking up a residency inside of Planet Hollywood’s Showroom.  Visitors to Las Vegas will now have be able to see his sort of one-man show, titled “Jeff Dunham: Not Playing With a Full Deck.”

There’s a new show in town and it’s a side-splitter. We’re talking about Lipshtick: The Perfect Shade of Standup At The Venetian. With an all-female lineup of comedians, the show includes some of the most talented and funniest women around.

Whitney Cummings who is co-creator of the hit-comedy “2 Broke Girls” organized the comedy series and brought it to fruition within three months, according to news reports. Cummings, who is also a standup comedian, will be performing four nights including two in August and two in November.

Las Vegas is a town with a vast array of entertainment options to choose from. At times there can almost be too many choices, so how do you determine what to do? You can always choose from the big Cirque du Soleil shows, or for a change of pace, you can opt for the smaller Vegas shows, which there is no shortage of either. Guns N’ Roses, one of the world’s hardest rocking, chart-topping bands continues with their second Las Vegas residency and fans can catch final performances on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7 in The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
