When looking for an ideal way to entertain the kids while on vacation it is quite easy to go the route of arcades and swimming pools in Las Vegas. They are abundant so why not. Well, because Las Vegas does have options for your family so you might as well use them. See a show with the kids and start introducing them to the stage.

What I’m taking my kids to see in Las Vegas:

Even if the 1980s are not a time you wish to relive. Even if hair metal is a music which has no place in your collection. Even if you somehow wandered into the theatre in a drunken haze. You will not be able to deny the pleasures of Rock of Ages, a musical that doesn’t take itself, its subject, or you the audience seriously.

As the taped introduction by Whitesnake’s “legendary” front man David Coverdale puts it, “enjoy having your face melted.”

Have a big meal. With perhaps a glass of wine. Enjoy dessert too. And another glass. Then sit back, rest your eyes for a moment, and get ready to soar.

Want to see a show you’ll really remember? A show that could truly be presented “Only in Vegas?” Then consider Peepshow at Planet Hollywood. Maybe you’ve heard about it—the show that ex-Playmate and former Girls Next Door star Holly Madison made famous? Now Holly has been replaced in the starring role by another astounding reality star, Coco Austin (Ice Loves Coco).

From the moment you are greeted at the theatre by Swinging London characters—bobbies and dolly birds—to the sounds of “Hello Goodbye” or “Good Morning, Good Morning,” you know that The Beatles LOVE is not going to be just another stage show. Or even another Cirque du Soleil extravagance. Because this stage spectacle (and it really does deserve that lofty title) is not just another tribute show to the music of the Fab Four.

You’re in Las Vegas, Entertainment Capital of the World, and you want to see something, you know…entertaining! But if country and pop stars like Shania, Faith and Tim, Rod and Celine aren’t your thing, or you’re not in the mood for Cirque du Soleil, it may seem like options are limited.

Not so. There are an incredible variety of regular performers in Las Vegas shows on the Strip for almost any taste.

Adult shows were once the norm in Las Vegas but times have changed and these days most shows seem so tame that you could possibly see them with your children or feel ok sitting next to your grandmother when the curtain comes up.

However, there are a couple that require discretion and are perfect for the couple wanting to explore their risky side or for the group of open minded individuals looking for some adult entertainment or a chance to laugh at some of those subjects that often are considered off limits.

Tap. Tap. Snap. Snap. Boom. Boom. Crash. Crash.

You'll raise your hands for no apparent reason and you'll practice those beat box sounds that you had long abandoned. You might squirm in your seat with a need to feel the rhythm. You'll wiggle your toes as you whistle and you'll consider experimenting with paint, PVC pipe and drum sticks.

How comfortable are you with really good looking guys with tremendous physiques balancing themselves within close proximity of each other and you?

Do you offend easily?

Would you kiss a stranger?
