The Insider: NFR 2012 Las Vegas Preview

Wow, on the heels of December and that means National Finals Rodeo is riding back into Las Vegas!  With NFR in town, here’s everything you need to know about the event.

• The event runs December 6-15
• NFR takes place at the Thomas & Mack Arena.
• Fan Fest and Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center run the length of NFR and open to the public at no charge.  Featuring over 100,000 square feet of the best western lifestyle, Fan Fest has it all, music, food, drinks, shopping and more.
• Mandalay Bay presents Cowboyville.  The resort on the south end of The Strip is an official host hotel of NFR and features nightly simulcasts of NFR, free shuttle to the events, drink specials and a Cowboy Marketplace.  All are free and open to the public.
• The Mirage presents Rodeo Vegas, 10-days or nonstop action surrounding NFR.   Rodeo fans can expect live entertainment from country stars including Craig Morgan, Chris Cagle and Josh Thompson.
• Gilley’s at Treasure Island Las Vegas is an excellent spot for food, booze and of course, dancing!  Nightly it is the spot on the Las Vegas Strip to keep the NFR party going!
• Downtown at the Golden Nugget, NFR takes over with country music concerts each night featuring stars Rodney Atkins, Clay Walker, John Michael Montgomery, The Lone Starlets and Lonestar.
